I guarantee that this puppy is a healthy animal and, at the time of sale, is free of any major health problems.  The purchaser agrees to have the puppy examined by his/her own veterinarian within four (4) days of purchase.  If the puppy is proven to be of poor health, the puppy may be returned, with papers for a full refund upon receipt of a letter from said veterinarian (provided the puppy is in the same condition it was at the time of purchase).

 

Additional Agreements

 

1.                Ownership of the dog must remain with the original purchaser; guarantee applies on to the original purchaser.

2.                If the dog must be placed in a new home, the breeder must be contacted first for the option of buying the dog back at the original price.  The breeder may assist the owner in placing the dog.

3.                This dog will be housed and sleep with the family (not out of doors) and will be provided with humane treatment and veterinarian-supervised health care.  A fenced yard will be provided for exercise.  The breeder may verify all of these conditions.

4.                Absence of hip dysplasia must be determined within six months after the dog turns two years of age, by veterinary x-ray and at the expense of the purchaser.  In the unlikely event that severe dysplasia is present, such that it dramatically affects the quality of the dog’s life; half the purchase price will be refunded.  This agreement is void if the dog is overweight, has not received proper nutrition and exercise, or has been injured.

5.                Purchase price includes tail docking, dewclaw removal, first worming, and first shots.  Price also includes ear cropping, suture removal and taping, provided the buyer requests such procedure at the time the non-refundable deposit is made and the purchase is complete prior to the puppy turning nine weeks old.

6.                Buyer acknowledges that this dog is eligible for a limited AKC registry only and is not to be used for breeding purposes.

7.                This agreement is not to be construed as compelling sterilization; but, if sterilization is not done, the application to individually register the dog with AKC will not be provided.

8.                Buyer agrees to feed only nationally recognized brands of dog food and provide a safe and healthy environment for the dog.
